Myakka River

The lower half of this photo is of a large sinkhole known as Deep Hole. This is a natural geological feature that we know little about due to the abundance of alligators that make exploration of this sinkhole extremely dangerous. Dry season along the Myakka River at Lower Lake Sarasota, FL 6/2007  6/2007.
