Description of DatasourceThe Southwest Florida Water Management District maintains data for seagrass beds and related features found within Clearwater Harbor, Tampa Bay, Sarasota Bay, Lemon Bay and Charlotte Harbor. A method of photo-interpretation is used to identify seagrass beds from 1:24,000 scale natural color aerial photography. The final results are a geographic information system (GIS) dataset that shows the location of seagrass beds within a given area.
