Once a shifting interconnection between the Gulf of Mexico and Big Sarasota Pass, Bayou Louise now provides a protected area for the boat-owning homeowners along its banks on Siesta Key. This bayou is included in the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program and is a SWFWMD SWIM waterbody.
