Ainger Creek and Lemon Bay Protected by the Purchase of the Joseph Parcel

In February 2006 the Sarasota County Environmentally Sensitive Lands Protection Program purchased 85 acres along Ainger Creek in Englewood. The property, called the Joseph Parcel provides a diversity of wildife habitat and protects water quality in the region. The 85 acre property cost $3.5 million and will become part of the County preserves where the public can enjoy nature at its best.
