The Sarasota Environmental Action Team is a group of volunteers who organize activities to promote the environmental health of the County's aquatic ecosystem. Its Seagrass Monitoring Program is especially important, keeping tabs on the size and health of seagrass beds, and also surveying the extent to which they are used by various species.

New on the Water Atlas is a resource page for the Seagrass Monitoring Program, with a blog, links to seagrass bed maps and seagrass-related websites, information and forms for volunteers, and recent news items about seagrass ecology.
