Contractors invited to participate in Get Energy Smart Retrofit Program

Contractors now have an opportunity to increase their business while helping save energy and protect the environment with Sarasota County's Get Energy Smart Retrofit Program. The program is a joint initiative between Sarasota County, the city of Sarasota and the city of North Port that will provide rebates to citizens who use prequalified local contractors to make home energy improvements. The program's goal is to encourage large-scale adoption of home energy efficiency retrofit strategies within the community.

Contractors can apply to participate in the Get Energy Smart Retrofit Program online at www.scgov.net/retrofit.

Participating contractors must have a local or state contractor's license and be able to meet a list of criteria specific to the retrofit services being provided. A complete list of the requirements is available on the website.
