SBEP Seeks Additional Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) Members
SARASOTA, FL – The Sarasota Bay Estuary Program (SBEP) is seeking two new members to serve on the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC provides the SBEP with citizen input and helps the organization develop programs and projects in support of its mission to restore and protect Sarasota Bay. SBEP has been focused on restoring and protecting Sarasota Bay since 1989.
“We have a good mix of members from both Manatee and Sarasota County,” said Sara Kane, the SBEP Public Outreach Coordinator. “We would like to find one new member from Longboat Key and the other new member could reside in either county.”
The CAC currently has 23-members with a wide variety of experiences as marine scientists, environmental engineers, management consultants, software developers, teachers, biologists, realtors, small business owners, ecologists, veterans, volunteers, and parents. The diverse backgrounds enhance the SBEP mission.
