See the King Tide Photo Contest Entries
Recently the Tampa Bay Estuary Program (TBEP) and Sarasota Bay Estuary Program (SBEP) invited Bay Area citizens to become “Tide Watchers” in an effort to photo-document flooding during “king tides.” About 30 photographers responded, providing 148 images. The goal of the photo contest was to raise awareness of the potential impacts of rising seas on our shorelines and communities. The contest is part of a larger King Tide photo-documentation project involving coastal communities throughout the United States, Canada and Australia.
