Keep Sarasota County Beautiful Seeks Volunteers for Coastal Cleanup

The 2012 International Coastal Clean-up will take place in Sarasota County from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 (rain date Sept. 22).

Annually, there are two major cleanup events: The Great American Cleanup, a volunteer program which focuses heavily on picking up litter, including cigarette butts and The International Coastal Cleanup, promoting marine debris awareness. Special cleanup events may also be organized.
