Sunrise Beach Walks return to area beaches

SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County Parks and Recreation's Sunrise Beach Walks are returning to Siesta and Nokomis beaches starting Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Every Wednesday through the end of March, residents and visitors are invited to join in the community walks along the beach. Once walkers participate in four Sunrise Beach Walks, they will earn an event T-shirt.

There is a one-time $1 registration fee to participate. Registration and check-in is 8 - 9:30 a.m. every Wednesday. Walkers will receive a punch card at check-in. Check-in at Siesta Beach will be near the main concession area. Check-in at Nokomis Beach will be located near the beach plaza classroom.
