Public invited to share ideas about new park site in north county

​SARASOTA COUNTY - Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources would like you to share your thoughts and ideas at a community workshop on the future neighborhood park.

The 6.2-acre addition parcel, which is located at the corner of 46th Street and North Tamiami Trail, adjacent to the existing North Water Tower Park, was purchased through the Neighborhood Parkland Acquisition Program in 2015.

Staff will share potential improvements for the property, seek feedback on those ideas, and gather additional ideas from the public. Staff will be available to answer questions and take public input.

The community workshop will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 4726 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. RSVP is not necessary to attend.
