What: Cela Tega Conference: Resiliency and Adaptation in the Estero Bay Region

FORT MYERS – The FGCU College of Arts & Sciences, in Cooperation with the Estero Bay Agency on Bay Management will present a conference “Cela Tega Conference: Resiliency and Adaptation in the Estero Bay Region” The program is one which should be of interest to all residents of Southwest Florida, especially to our county and municipal officials and local businesses. Participants at the conference will get to hear speakers about vulnerability assessment, adaptation and resiliency plans and strategies, including those being implemented in Punta Gorda, and other Florida locations.

During lunch there will be a feature showing of WGCU’s newly released video “Preserving our Waters: 50 years of The Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve” followed by author Craig Pittman, discussing Oh Florida! Wacky Florida Weather and other stories.

The event will wrap up with a reception featuring local Florida artists.

Cost for the conference is free and includes continental breakfast and sandwich lunch.
