Florida governor awards $100 million to coastal communities impacted by hurricanes
TALLAHASSEE — Some coastal communities impacted by Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Nicole are getting relief thanks to the Hurricane Stormwater and Wastewater Assistance Grant program.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced $100 million in funding for local governments that operate a stormwater or wastewater management system that were impacted by the storms.
Counties eligible for funding include Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Duval, Flagler, Indian River, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Nassau, Palm Beach, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sarasota and Volusia.
