Sarasota County surveying residents about the composition of their drinking water lines

To better protect communities from exposure to lead in drinking water the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced on December 17, 2021, the development of a new regulation, Lead and Copper Rule Improvements (LCRI).

This regulation requires Sarasota County to document the material composition (i.e. copper, lead, plastic, etc.) of customers’ private home service lines.

To expedite this process, Sarasota County is asking its customers to self-report the materials in their home service lines.

To participate in the survey, visit the Sarasota County website and click on the survey link at the top of the page: https://www.scgov.net/.
