Venice and Nokomis community cleanups set for Feb. 22

SARASOTA COUNTY - It's time to clean out the garage and gather discarded household items, tree trimmings and other garbage/debris as Sarasota County hosts a free community cleanup in the Bypass and Foxworthy neighborhoods in Venice and Nokomis from 8 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Feb. 22.

Dumpsters for residential customers will be available, at no cost, at two locations: 

800 Gulf Coast Blvd., Venice
What is accepted: Large and small appliances, discarded household items, yard waste, and car tires smaller than 25' X 16", with a limit of four tires per household. 

107 River Blvd., S. (on the west side of Adriatic Street), Nokomis
What is accepted: Only discarded household items, junk and yard waste.
